Brand identity design for Birrópolis.
Birrópolis is a business dedicated to celebrating the rich tradition of craft beer and local wine in Jerez de la Frontera. With a strong focus on artisanal production, regional flavors and sustainability, Birrópolis brings together the best of local brewing and winemaking culture.
They needed a fresh identity that would capture the vibrant and approachable essence of the brand, as their previous logo didn’t fully represent their deep roots in Jerez. To start the process, I created a moodboard featuring design inspirations from the craft beverage industry and Jerez’s cultural heritage. By analyzing these visual cues, I identified patterns that helped define the direction for Birrópolis’ new identity. This step also clarified what the brand should and shouldn’t communicate.
Taking full ownership of the project, I explored multiple visual directions, experimenting with different fonts and graphic styles. Through several rounds of iteration and client feedback, I refined the designs, testing how the logotype performed across various applications, from packaging and signage to digital platforms and merchandise.
The final identity for Birrópolis reflects its core values of craftsmanship, conviviality, and innovation). The logo blends the stylized beer glass merging with a cityscape of Jerez. while the branding introduces Gotham Pro font and a color palette of Sun Yellow and Mirage Blue. This new identity will be applied across all brand materials, including packaging, social media, and merchandise, ensuring a cohesive and recognizable presence.
